4th Annual All-Star Shootout
      13.5 / 1 cell  |  21.5 / 2 cell  | Nastruck

 

 

This years Allstar Shootout was set up to use a special format
for all (3) regular classes, unlike past years where the support
classes just ran a regular timed race format.

 

Although the 21.5 / 2 cell class had a fairly small number of entries
that didn’t stop those guys from doing some serious racing too.

 

The (4) lap single car qualifying has become a popular feature of the
Allstar Shootout, and this is used to lock in the front two starting spots
in the first of three A mains (Triple A Mains)

Qualifying on the pole, it would be Brad Muther with John Miles locked into P2
for the start of the first main.  The rest of the starting grid would start based  on
finishing positions in a single 20 lap heat race.

In the first main, Tony Staples got the holeshot and lead a handful of laps, but on lap
number 12, John Miles would take the top spot and go on to win the first of 3 mains.

 

With the Triple “A” format,  it’s a best 2 of 3, points basing for the overall finish, so if
the same driver wins the first two mains, the other are fighting for 2nd place.  This was
the case in the 21.5 class as John Miles would win the first two, and to continue his
domination, he would also take victory in A3, sweeping all three main event.
